The Three Laws of Robotics are fundamental laws that are inculcated into the positronic brains of all robots. These laws govern the robots behaviour and the use of robots.

First Law

A robot may not harm a human or through inaction allow harm to come to a human.

The first law is the law that is impressed into the positronic brain the firmest, and overrides both of the other laws.

Second Law

A robot must obey orders given to it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.

Third Law

A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
